This collection includes the manuscript, Water Mills of Texas on early agriculture, and one personal letter to David Schultz from Dudley T. Smith explaining the manuscript contents.

The manuscript, unfortunately, was not completed or published before Atkins's passing and was his last major project among his many great histories. It remains unedited and "Contains considerable information about early agriculture, the use of horsepower and mechanization, and the processing of wheat and other grains into flour. The photographs are unique and the text gives insights into early foundations of industrialization in Texas- mostly along "fall lines" where numerous rivers in Texas dropped in elevation and water power could be harnessed."

The manuscript totals 69 pages, bibliography included, with the first-page giving a perspective about the paper and its goals.

This collection consists of photographs taken by Dr. James H. Copp, Professor Emeritus of Sociology, Texas A&M University. The photographs consist of approximately 1,600 8 x 10-inch black and white photographic prints taken of Bryan and College Station, Texas and the campus of Texas A&M during the 1970s and 1980s. In addition there are approximately 775 35 mm slides of the 1980s oil boom in Central Texas.

Joseph "Joe" Utay Collection

This collection contains memorabilia from Joe Utay’s career as a football coach during the mid-1900s along with his collection of football programs and stats rosters from his time serving in the Southwest Conference. Joe Utay was a member of the Texas A&M Football team from 1905-1907 as a halfback and was the football coach from 1912-1936. He was involved with the Southwestern Conference, the Cotton Bowl, and the Texas Officials Association.

This collection includes correspondence from Douglas MacArthur (then serving as the Commandant of West Point) discussing a potential football game between West Point and Texas A&M College. This collection also contains two lawsuits appealing for Texas A&M College to admit women to the university in 1933 and 1955. (The lawsuits were given to Joe Utay for legal review.)

This collection includes two manuscripts written by Dugan entitled The Great Class of 1934 and On My Way to the Cemetery. The first work chronicles Dugan's life at A&M College and the latter discusses his experiences in World War II (WWII).

Also included are maps of some countries from the Middle East such as Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. The maps contain spots where oil and gas can be found in such countries from the 1950s to the late 1960s. There are also two booklet guides for learning the Arabic language.

Military Walk Proposed Renovation Plans

This collection includes official documents pertaining to proposed 2006 renovation plans for Texas A&M’s Military Walk including designs, presentations, firm history, engineer reports, designs, and certifications.

The Military Walk has been an important landmark since 1876 at Texas A&M. Originally the walk was a dirt road and was paved as a narrow street in the 1940s, later paved over again like a concrete sidewalk. The walk spans 1,500 feet from Sbisa Dining Hall to the Rudder/Memorial Student Center complex. The 2006-2010 renovation to the Military Walk included a brick makeover with lights, benches, and memorial plates.

Old Main Building Commemorative Plate

This collection includes a porcelain plate made in Germany with the inscription "Wheelock - Made in Germany for M. H. James, Bryan, TX - Dresden". The plate contains an image of the original Old Main Building that was destroyed by fire in 1912.

This collection includes three copies of the testimony taken in the investigation of the origin of the May 27, 1912 fire that destroyed the Main Building ("Old Main") at Texas A&M College. The chairman of the investigation was Dr. D.W. Spence, Captian C. L. Fenton, and Wilmon Newell. It includes testimony from students, faculty, and staff that witnessed the explosion of the armory deposit on the fourth floor of the Main Building.
