This collection includes several letters from Gathright, who was the first president of the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas (now Texas A&M University), to several different correspondents during his Presidency. Although the writing is not very clear, most of the letters are written to Judge Louis McInnis and the Governor of Mississippi during that time. Some of the letters were transcribed in Early History of Texas A&M College Through Letters and Papers (1952), by David Brooks Cofer.

The manuscript is broken up to have one chapter in a folder inside the box. The book is about 350 pages and includes information on the development and early years of the Texas A&M Engineering program, the different departments, and the people. Graphs and charts, as well as an appendix, are included at the end of the book.

This collection contains information dealing with the 1912-1913 student strike at the College of Texas A&M where student cadets were accused of hazing on December 14, 1912. This collection also contains correspondence regarding the 1913 student strike written mostly to Milner, who was President of A&M during the strike.

This collection contains letters written by two A&M College students and general information about the collection. The first two letters are written by David Gordon Miller to his mother in 1877 (folder 2), and tell of Gordon's desire to be with his family at Christmas including a few words about A&M College and life. The third letter (folder 3) was written by E. G. Mills to his sister A. H. Sears on March 30, 1878, with a small section expressing the tedious life of an A&M student at the time.

This collection includes evaluations and results from the Grumman Ag-Cat which was test flown at the Texas A&M College System's Pattern Measuring Station for the purpose of developing adequate spray and solids distribution systems. Also included are several pieces of correspondence between persons involved in this research.

This collection includes official documents pertaining to proposed 2006 renovation plans for Texas A&M’s Military Walk including designs, presentations, firm history, engineer reports, designs, and certifications.

The Military Walk has been an important landmark since 1876 at Texas A&M. Originally the walk was a dirt road and was paved as a narrow street in the 1940s, later paved over again like a concrete sidewalk. The walk spans 1,500 feet from Sbisa Dining Hall to the Rudder/Memorial Student Center complex. The 2006-2010 renovation to the Military Walk included a brick makeover with lights, benches, and memorial plates.

The collection contains foil figures from the Texas A&M College Slide Rule Contest (1947). Figures included: 5 fish; 4 Texas-shaped molds; 1 figure with a circular shape with the name of the college written; and 1 wooden figure.

This collection deals, in part, with the issue of hazing at Texas A&M which is defined as:

“Any act that endangers the mental or physical health or safety of a student, or that destroys or removes public or private property; and/ or assisting, directing, or in any way causing others to participate in degrading behaviors and/ or behavior that causes ridicule, humiliation, or embarrassment.”

Included are files relating to student complaints about hazing incidents at Texas A&M, enrollment trends, housing, reports of conditions and inspections, and resignations of students between 1932-1962.

This collection includes personal letters from "Doc" W. A. Tolson's life including grade reports from A&M College, personal letters dating 1918-1943, photographs from his life and family, and articles dating back to the first broadcasted A&M football game. Other included newspaper articles refer to the A&M College band, Tolson's life working in Radio RCA programs, and his teachings at Princeton.

We've Never Been Licked (1943) was a World War II spy film directed by John Rawlins and produced by Walter Wanger. Parts of the movie were shot on location at Texas A&M's campus, and the movie references many Texas A&M traditions.
