This collection consists of two typed manuscripts (with corrections) of Philip Jose Farmer, including his Hugo Award-winning novella Riders of the Purple Wage (1967) with a signed cover letter to Harlan Ellison and Larry Ashmead and which was originally published in Harlan Ellison's groundbreaking anthology Dangerous Visions.
The manuscript "Sketches Among The Ruins of My Mind" (1973) signed by Farmer in August 1986, is accompanied by a 1972 letter from Harry Harrison containing suggested edits to Farmer's story.

This collection contains newspaper articles from the Huntsville Item about the Huntsville Prison Siege that lasted from July 24th to August 3rd, 1974. Fred Carrasco, a life sentence inmate, smuggled firearms into his cell, and with two other inmate accomplices, he took fifteen hostages, 11 being prison workers and 4 being inmates. The convicts walked the hostages to an escape car they had arranged, but officers and FBI agents shot them with a fire hose, compelling the convicts to kill two hostages and then for Carrasco to apparently kill himself. The other two convicts were sentenced to death row and the siege would become the longest prison siege in US history.

The William Peacock Jr. collection comprises of two sections: the first is includes correspondence about gunfighters, exchanged between Peacock and various authors and other aficionados. This collection consists of a copy of the proofs for the 1978 novel Elvis, Come Back!, written by Sheila Jazmann and published by Chameleon Books. The novel tells the story of an attempt by scientists to bring Elvis Presley back to life after his death in August 1977.

This collection contains telegrams, correspondence, and photographs of Joel Hunt, who played Quarterback for the Texas A&M Football team from 1925 to 1927. The items appear to be from Joel Hunt’s scrapbook that was disassembled into this collection.

The Eldridge Cleaver Archives contains over 1000 individual items of his writings and letters from his prison stints from 1959 to 1966 after he published his seminal work, “Soul on Ice;” BPP writings, his exile in Cuba, Algiers, Paris and other writings; newspapers and other publications. The collection contains rare and unique items from founding members and insider within one of the most notorious and progressive organizations this country has ever witnessed.

This collection contains a 24-page handwritten essay on Ice machinery written on June 16, 1882, by C. S. Travis. Possibly, this was an essay for a class assignment or lecture. The essay describes Ice machinery mechanics in 1882.

This collection includes materials relating to the 1982 A&M basketball reunion for the Class of 1935.
