This collection contains manuscripts and other materials relating to the literary career of science fiction, fantasy, paranormal romance, and erotica writer Victoria McManus, who writes under the names "Victoria Janssen" and "Elspeth Potter". Materials in this collection include manuscripts and drafts of McManus' published and unpublished work, correspondence, contracts and financial documentation, and convention materials.

Also included are large numbers of fanzines, particularly for the British show *Blake's 7", for which McManus wrote a number of stories.
Some of the fanzines is identified as "slash” (s) or "het" (h). "Slash" refers to fanworks that feature same-sex relationships and are sometimes (though not always) sexually explicit. In slash, sexual identity, sexuality and/or romance are often the centers of the story, rather than the conventional adventures featured in more traditional fanworks. This collection consists of a variety of media fanzines, mostly from the British television show The Professionals, but also including smaller numbers of fanzines from The Man From U.N.C.L.E., The Sentinel, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and several other media properties.

The majority of the content is fanfiction. Almost all the fanworks in this collection are identified as "slash,” referring to fanworks that feature same-sex relationships and are sometimes (though not always) sexually explicit. The collection also includes substantial numbers of fanvids (songvids). "Vidding" refers to the fannish activity of creating a music video (a 'fanvid') consisting of clips from various movies or TV shows set to particular pieces of music. Some vids utilize a single media universe, others involve multiple ones. The music that accompanies the clips is selected by the vidder in order to drive a particular narrative or to make a point about the characters or story being shown. Often these points are subversive of the accepted canon (for example, a vidder might use judiciously selected clips to suggest that two or more characters have a romantic relationship, whereas in "real life" no such relationship is stated or implied).

Finally, the collection includes a number of CDs containing images and stories from the yaoi genre of animated Japanese media. Yaoi, like slash, focuses on sexual or romantic relationships between male characters, as well as several examples of fan art from the television show Supernatural.

This collection consists of manuscript drafts, copyedited manuscripts, and galley proofs of all of Martha Wells' novels, as well as a number of other materials that include program books from many science fiction and fantasy conventions.

The March 2017 Addendum contains mostly media-related materials, particularly from the television show _Hercules: The Legendary Journeys_and the _Star Wars_films.

This collection consists of reports and other materials for chapters of the Camarilla, the official fan club of White Wolf Publishing's Vampire: The Masquerade role-playing universe. Materials include membership applications submitted to the central office, club chapter reports, membership lists, and other documentation relating to club administration and business.

The term "Camarilla" refers to one of the major vampire sects of the Vampire: The Masquerade universe. To quote White Wolf's official wiki, "The Camarilla is the most organized of the vampiric sects, an elite club that favours tradition and control of the mortal populace from behind the scenes. Across their domains, they enforce six major Traditions, chief among them being the Masquerade. All clans have an individual presence in the Ivory Tower, though a select group of pillar clans make up the core of its membership. Once the Camarilla welcomed all Kindred who obeyed its laws, but recent events have caused the leadership to adopt more exclusive membership rules. No Anarchs, Caitiff, or thin-blooded vampires are allowed to exist within the sect. In addition to preventing the growing mortals masses from discovering the existence of vampires, the Camarilla aims to maintain the status quo of Kindred society; as such, much of its structure and traditions mirror that of Cainite society in feudal Europe in the Dark Ages, and places it at odds with the agenda of the Sabbat and Anarchs, both of whom seek to overthrow archaic Kindred society. "

Vampire: The Masquerade:

The Vampire games, created by Mark Rein-Hagen and first released in 1991, are part of White Wolf's World of Darkness overall universe, set in an Earth much like ours, except that vampires, werewolves, and magic-users exist. Vampire was designed for players to be vampires rather than the more traditional player role as vampire hunters. The game is notable for the development of an elaborate social system and varied culture surrounding vampires. The game, to quote its WIkipedia entry, "uses the cursed, vampiric condition as a backdrop to explore themes of morality, depravity, the human condition (or appreciation of the human condition in its absence), salvation, and personal horror. The gloomy and exaggerated version of the real world that the vampires inhabit, called the "World of Darkness", forms an already bleak canvas against which the stories and struggles of characters are painted. The themes that the game seeks to address include retaining the character's sense of self, humanity, and sanity, as well as simply keeping from being crushed by the grim opposition of mortal and supernatural antagonists and, more poignantly, surviving the politics, treachery, and often violent ambitions of their own kind. " The game has inspired video games, novels, comic books, and the 1996 television show Kindred: The Embraced.

The term "Masquerade" refers to an ongoing disinformation campaign of self-protection directed by the Kindred (the vampires as a whole) and heavily enforced by the Camarilla to convince humans that vampires and other supernatural creatures do not really exist.

The Masquerade universe is also known for its commitment to LARP (Live Action Role-Play). LARPing is an activity in which participants not only create role-playing game characters but physically portray them in established campaigns, LARPs can be played in both public or private areas, and events can vary in size from a small handful of players to hundreds or even several thousands at once. In 1993, White Wolf released the first Vampire LARP game, Mind's Eye Theatre: The Masquerade, and a number of LARP publications based on the different World of Darkness games followed.

This collection contains materials relating to the lives and literary careers of horror writers Steve Rasnic Tem and Melanie Tem. Materials in the collection include manuscripts of novels, short stories, and other works by the Tems, whether written as individuals or together as co-writers; associated literary materials; correspondence; and other materials. Also included are recorded podcast interviews of Steve Rasnic Tem and readings of works by the Tems.

Also included are several literary awards won by the Tems individually and jointly.

This collection contains manuscript materials from Melinda M. Snodgrass, including typescript, story outline, and notes for the Wild Cards novel Three Kings (co-written and edited by Snodgrass).

This collection contains the personal papers and writings of Texas religious figure and sometime-political candidate Johnnie Mae Hackworth. The collection documents Hackworth's life; her political campaigns for Governor, Senator, and President;  her conservative political views; and her colorful and unorthodox religious beliefs.

Hackworth's papers contains correspondence to and from Hackworth, Hackworth's notebooks, her various political and religious/prophetic writings, religious and political writings from others that were collected by Hackworth, photographs, and various pieces of ephemera. Notable and predominant among her correspondence are long and rambling letters that Hackworth wrote to political, media and law enforcement figures in Texas as well as on the national level.

Also included is correspondence and other materials from Hackworth's second husband Edwin A. Schaufler, a longtime railroad executive.

This collection contains correspondence from Gustav Wehrs to David Chapman and Dr. Robert H. Carpenter, regarding the donation of his life's memories as part of the Military collection to Cushing Memorial Library at Texas A&M. Included is a translated account of his experiences during the Battle of the Aegean in 1943, and an account of the early years of his life he had typed in his native German language.

This collection consists of selected Sunday comic strips (12 in number) from the comic strip John Carter of Mars, based on the series of novels about Carter by Edgar Rice Burroughs. All are from 1942 and encapsulated and backed on board.

The strip was written and illustrated by Burroughs' son, John Coleman Burroughs, and ran from 1941-1943.

This collection consists of 12 pieces of correspondence, almost entirely letters written by legendary science fiction author Clarke to Baird Searles, owner of the well-known Science Fiction Bookshop in New York City, NY. Clarke, who lived in Sri Lanka, frequently ordered books from Searles.

There is also one letter from Clarke to Martin Last, Searles' writing collaborator and domestic partner.

This collection contains 54 original handwritten letters by Arnold, one page of poetry, one page of prose, and two pieces of paper with his signature. Each letter includes a typed transcription within its folder.

The collection documents the life of Reverend William M. Taylor and his pursuit of education in various cities in Texas. A biography provides details about his education, religious vocation, and family life in Texas that provide a glimpse into the trials and tribulations Blacks faced in attaining any type of progress. This small collection is also rich in the history of the Guadalupe Baptist Association, Guadalupe College, and the community life for African Americans in Texas.

The collection covers the personal, academic, and professional life of Jeff Stumpo and his founding of the Java Shock slam poetry event held initially in College Station, but now based in Bryan, TX.

This collection consists of miscellaneous files, alphabetical files on the authors, and a complete original folio of poems. Within the first miscellaneous file is background information on the club and correspondence with Bloomsbury Book Auctions. Other miscellaneous files consist of correspondence.  the author files primarily consist of correspondence between poet and club directors, contracts with the club, and proofs of the broadsides.  There are originals and carbon copies in the files.  Many of the letters and proofs are annotated and contain original signatures.  The complete folio contains signed broadsides as well as any other material sent with the poem, such as a brief biography or note from the author regarding his poem.

This collection consists of term papers, course handouts, folklore fieldnotes, news clippings, a report, a document, maps, photographs, materials about folksingers, pamphlets on wildlife, materials about vaudeville and North Carolina, the information given to Dr. Anderson on Texas, correspondence, and information on The Texas Folklore Society and The John A. Lomax Folklore Society.

The majority of the material is from Dr. John Q. Anderson's students at Texas A&M. Dr. Anderson assigned his students to write term papers on folklore from many locales, including Texas. Because Dr. Anderson felt that some of these student papers were so exceptional, he collected, edited, and had them published in a book he titled, Texas Lore: A Collection of Student Papers on Texas Folklore. As additional information on some of the term papers, some of the students gave Dr. Anderson information on North Carolina, and Billy Arlington and Co. Dr. Anderson also requested that his students collect information on folklore by interviewing people and recording this information in fieldnotes. The information was gathered and is represented in the collection on topics including folk medicine, games, children's lore, folk beliefs, folk sayings, proverbs, rhymes, riddles, tree and plant lore, and Aggie lore.

Along with interviews and fieldnotes contributed by the students, many news clippings were collected, mostly relating to Texas and pertaining to people, places, folk medicine, folk singers, folk games, folklore book reviews, anthropology, superstitions, magic, and etymology. Also present is one document on folk medicine, an article on folksinger Joan Baez, a few articles on certain Texas counties, and special editions of some Texas newspapers.

Other materials include correspondence between Dr. John Q. Anderson and the Texas Folklore Society or the John A. Lomax Society, and with people interested in folklore. There is also information about meetings and conferences to be held by the Texas Folklore Society, including a program that Dr. Anderson sponsored at Texas A&M for the John A. Lomax Society.

This collection consists of 1200 slides of Texas courthouses located throughout the state. This collection also contains newspaper clippings, personal notes, and issues of the periodical Texas County Progress (incomplete issues from 1984-1999 and incomplete issues from 2002-2003) on the subject of Texas courthouses. This collection also includes magazines and brochures about Texas courthouses; pictures and slides of Texas courthouses; calendars; and a video cassette.

The materials in this collection consist of typescript pages and drafts, correspondence, and other materials related to Shiner's involvement with the Wild Cards shared universe novel project (1987-present). Most of the materials involve Shiner's direction of the comic book adaptations of the Wild Cards universe, including the 1990 Epic Comics four-part series, and subsequent unpublished stories.

This collection contains member lists and bulletins from the Texas Seedmen's Association (TSA) as well as bulletins from the American Seed Trade Association (ASTA) and the US Department of Commerce Field Service.

The majority of the collection is made up of miscellaneous subject files, which follow Dr. Rosen's detailed research, colleagues, and projects. In addition to the subject files, four series of special subject files, denoting those of particular importance, have been created for subjects containing multiple files.

The collection also contains files on the publications of Dr. Rosen, in addition to a number of books either written or contributed to by Rosen. The Presentations and Audio-Visual Materials series archive the many lectures given by Dr. Rosen at Texas A&M University and around the world. Four of the cassettes in the Audio Visual Materials Series record interviews with survivors of suicide attempts from the Golden Gate Bridge. One film reel, Discussion with Dr. Carl Jung, is in a degraded condition and stored in the film vault.

As Dr. Rosen focused most of his work on Analytical or Jungian Psychology, the majority of his collection is dedicated to his research, publications, and lectures given on the subject.

This collection contains nine scrapbooks that document the activities of the Texas A&M Bluebonnet Chapter during the years 1990-1992 and 2001-2009.

This collection consists of scripts and storyboards for seven episodes of Star Trek: The Animated Series. The program, produced by Filmation, aired on NBC for two seasons from 1973-1974 and the episodes were later novelized by Alan Dean Foster.

This collection contains budgets compiled by the Texas Agricultural Extension Service (TAEX), and with the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station (TAES) provided to Texans for a real estimate of farming costs.
