The correspondence is further separated into five areas: correspondence regarding the development or history of AAHE, presidential, secretarial, archival, and miscellaneous. All publications, conference proceedings, annual conferences, and minutes are filed chronologically. The committee materials are distinguished and filed according to the included committees: Constitution, Scholarship, Liasion, Legislative, Extension, Emeritus, Publication, Ad Hoc, Research, Membership, and Education. The financial materials are mostly arranged in chronological order; however, four distinct categories are also found to be filed together: Invoices, Bank Statements, Reimbursement Vouchers, and Checkbooks. The membership applications are arranged alphabetically by the person's last name.

These materials are stored offsite and require additional time for retrieval.
