This collection of reports was assembled by a staff member who worked in the department from 1949 to about 1974. Some reports were added after 1974, but that was not done as consistently as before. Thus, for the first twenty-four years, the collection should be at least virtually complete.

All of the reports are in good condition. The earliest ones were published as mimeograph copies while the later ones seem to be published as photo-offset copies.

The collection contains the publication Agron-o-gram Newsletter from the Soil and Crop Sciences Department.

This collection includes three issues of the publication The Nth Degree: The Graduate Newsletter, one from 1994, 1995, and 1996.

This collection consists of bound volumes containing reprints of previously published leaflets, research reports, newsletters and other publications put out by the Texas Engineering Experiment Station (TEES).

This collection consists of the white, extra copies of the correspondence of the Dean of Agriculture. Most of the correspondence dates from 1960-1968. It should be noted that there is some overlap with material for the Texas Agriculture Experiment Station. This is due to the fact that both R. E. Patterson and H. O. Kunkel who were Deans of Agriculture during this time span also served as Directors of the Experiment Station simultaneously.

The papers from 1959 are from the tenure of Dr. R. E. Patterson as Vice Chancellor for Agriculture. In 1960 he was appointed Dean of Agriculture and simply continued this white copy file until his resignation and departure in August of 1967. Dr. H. O. Kunkel, upon his assumption of duty as the Dean of Agriculture, chose to continue to add to the files of his predecessor rather than creating his own. These files cover virtually the entire time span in which the Dean of Agriculture and Director of the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station were posts held concurrently by the same individual (1960-1972).

The earliest scholarship in this collection is from 1978 before the A&M Gay Student Services (GSS) received official campus recognition. Students and scholars in the fields of Philosophy, Sociology, and History have produced work included in this collections.

This collection contains gameday programs for the Texas A&M Football team.

The Heritage Preservation Oral History Program was designed to preserve for future generations of Aggies the history and traditions of Texas A&M as experienced by a diverse group of people.

The oral histories were largely collected by Haskell Monroe, the director of the program and the Dean of Faculties Emeritus, through an interview process. Haskell Monroe was a history professor at Texas A&M University as well as the President of the University of Texas at El Paso and the Chancellor of the University of Missouri. While at A&M he served as the secretary of the Aspirations Committee. This Committee wrote crucial reports advising changes that would help create the diversity experienced at A&M to this day including racial integration, co-education, and the elimination of the compulsory Corps of Cadets service.

The interviewees, for the Heritage Preservation Oral History Program, ranged from faculty, staff, students, and people highly involved in the university. This was intentionally done to give a diverse and well-rounded history and perception of life at Texas A&M University. These people ranged from university Presidents and their wives, yell leaders, student body presidents, and professors. In the Early Years of the program's history the focus was on A&M in the 1930s and the impact of the Corps. While in later interviews conducted professors and students were interviewed about more specific facets of A&M and individual programs and departments. While the program initially was supposed to only interview about 24 important people to the intuition it grew considerably throughout the process. The interviews were conducted from 1998 to 2002 totaling up to over 200 individual interviews and interviewees.

This collection contains articles written by James Russell Couch from his duration at Texas A&M as professor of Poultry and Nutrition Science. The articles relate to Poultry and Nutrition science and range from 1950 to 1974.

This collection includes a porcelain plate made in Germany with the inscription "Wheelock - Made in Germany for M. H. James, Bryan, TX - Dresden". The plate contains an image of the original Old Main Building that was destroyed by fire in 1912.

This collection contains the metal dies used by the Mechanical Engineering Department in making commemorative ashtray souvenirs for the 75th-anniversary celebration of Texas A&M in 1954.

This collection includes some personal grade reports from former students at Texas A&M. It also includes average semester grades for freshmen, sophomores, or by department for sessions 1925-1926 to 1939-1940.

This collection contains correspondence from the A&M College Bandmaster Richard J. Dunn. Other items in this collection include infantry music books dating from 1930-50s. The collection also contains original sheet music from the Fighting Texas Aggie Band and legal documents pertaining to Richard J. Dunn's song "Texas Aggie", "Spirit of Aggieland", "The Aggie War Hymn" and other Aggie Sheet music.

This collection contains papers of Dr. J. Oscar Morgan who was a Professor of Agronomy at A & M College of Texas in the early 1900s. Few exact dates could be identified, but some of the papers are dated around 1911-1912.

There is no information about whether these papers were ever published as articles, or whether they were used only in the classroom.

This collection includes a directory from the Chinese Student Association at TAMU from 1971-1972 and information about student run events during that time. Also included is the CSA constitution, dated 1963.

This collection contains personal letters from Texas A&M student R. N. Conolly, along with a letter from the Dean of the School of Agriculture congratulating Conolly's parents about their son’s achievement.

This collection contains letters to Forest W. Cooper, an A&M student, who was elected First Lieutenant in the Corps of Cadets in 1923. The letters within were sent by Dana X. Bible, James Sullivan, and "Puny" Wilson, all who were involved with A&M athletics. Also, information about Cooper and the collection are included.

This collection consists of a record book containing meeting minutes from the Gamma Mu Chapter at Texas A&M University of Eta Kappa Nu.

This collection contains minutes of meetings, committee reports, financial statements, and reports of the Road Master,  from the Texas A&M Bicycle Club.

This collection includes manuscripts discussing World War I (WWI) propaganda cartoons, an essay on war and physicians, and other essays written by students at Texas A&M College in 1919-1920.

This collection contains information about the work of A. A. Jakkula at the Texas A&M Research Foundation in the Oceanography Department. Included is a photo album with pictures, newspaper articles, and biographies of people involved in the ship "Atlantic", which was renamed "Dr. A.A. Jakkulan" because of his contribution to its development.

This collection contains letters written by two A&M College students and general information about the collection. The first two letters are written by David Gordon Miller to his mother in 1877 (folder 2), and tell of Gordon's desire to be with his family at Christmas including a few words about A&M College and life. The third letter (folder 3) was written by E. G. Mills to his sister A. H. Sears on March 30, 1878, with a small section expressing the tedious life of an A&M student at the time.

This collection includes three copies of the testimony taken in the investigation of the origin of the May 27, 1912 fire that destroyed the Main Building ("Old Main") at Texas A&M College. The chairman of the investigation was Dr. D.W. Spence, Captian C. L. Fenton, and Wilmon Newell. It includes testimony from students, faculty, and staff that witnessed the explosion of the armory deposit on the fourth floor of the Main Building.

This collection includes pages from Giesecke's textbook “Mechanical Drawing”, geometric drawings, and his early grade reports from A&M.

This collection is of various receipts noting payment on a note, lab fee, and deposit slips, from the years 1922 to 1923 at Texas A&M College from old records accumulated and saved by Mr. David E. Lamb. These were sent to fill some gaps in the documentation of Texas A&M history.

This collection contains a photocopy of Chapter 8 from the second edition of a book entitled Gustav McKee Watkins: A Biography, by John Bennett Watkins II, with additional references including a follow-up email of contents and extra biography materials.

The majority of the collection is made up of miscellaneous subject files, which follow Dr. Rosen's detailed research, colleagues, and projects. In addition to the subject files, four series of special subject files, denoting those of particular importance, have been created for subjects containing multiple files.

The collection also contains files on the publications of Dr. Rosen, in addition to a number of books either written or contributed to by Rosen. The Presentations and Audio-Visual Materials series archive the many lectures given by Dr. Rosen at Texas A&M University and around the world. Four of the cassettes in the Audio Visual Materials Series record interviews with survivors of suicide attempts from the Golden Gate Bridge. One film reel, Discussion with Dr. Carl Jung, is in a degraded condition and stored in the film vault.

As Dr. Rosen focused most of his work on Analytical or Jungian Psychology, the majority of his collection is dedicated to his research, publications, and lectures given on the subject.

The collection spans the life of James Earl Rudder. The bulk (1944-1970) of the materials roughly correspond to the chronology of James Earl Rudder's life, with additional materials collected mainly by his wife, Margaret Rudder. The collection includes materials from Rudder’s time in the service during WWII, clippings from newspapers, as well as posters, magazine issues, memorabilia, and Rudder’s awards.

This collection includes flower show information, historical club materials, minutes, club yearbooks and scrapbooks, and club reports.

This collection consists of the publication Graduate College News.

This collection contains daily crime summaries and monthly reports that were sent to the Office of the President and other offices of A&M. Information in the daily crim summaries has been previously redacted (blacked out) due to personal or sensitive information contained within.

The James C. Nagle Photographic Album is a Kodak album containing photographs of Texas A&M College campus, circa 1900.

This collection contains three scrapbooks, one of which belonged to Irene Claghorn, filled with photographs and mementos dating from the early 1900s through the 1940s.
