Grumman Ag-Cat Agricultural Aviation Testing Records

This collection includes evaluations and results from the Grumman Ag-Cat which was test flown at the Texas A&M College System's Pattern Measuring Station for the purpose of developing adequate spray and solids distribution systems. Also included are several pieces of correspondence between persons involved in this research.

Texas A&M College Student Correspondence Collection

This collection contains letters written by two A&M College students and general information about the collection. The first two letters are written by David Gordon Miller to his mother in 1877 (folder 2), and tell of Gordon's desire to be with his family at Christmas including a few words about A&M College and life. The third letter (folder 3) was written by E. G. Mills to his sister A. H. Sears on March 30, 1878, with a small section expressing the tedious life of an A&M student at the time.

Robert Teague Milner 1912 Student Strike Collection

This collection contains information dealing with the 1912-1913 student strike at the College of Texas A&M where student cadets were accused of hazing on December 14, 1912. This collection includes the manuscript of One Hundred Years of Engineering at Texas A&M University which was first published in 1976. The manuscript is broken up to have one chapter in a folder inside the box. The book is about 350 pages and includes information on the development and early years of the Texas A&M Engineering program, the different departments, and the people. Graphs and charts, as well as an appendix, are included at the end of the book.

Thomas S. Gathright Letters

This collection includes several letters from Gathright, who was the first president of the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas (now Texas A&M University), to several different correspondents during his Presidency. Although the writing is not very clear, most of the letters are written to Judge Louis McInnis and the Governor of Mississippi during that time. Some of the letters were transcribed in Early History of Texas A&M College Through Letters and Papers (1952), by David Brooks Cofer.

Lt. Haynes W. Dugan Collection

This collection includes two manuscripts written by Dugan entitled The Great Class of 1934 and On My Way to the Cemetery. The first work chronicles Dugan's life at A&M College and the latter discusses his experiences in World War II (WWII).

Other items in the collection include newspaper clippings related to WWII and the Texas A&M Aggies who fought in the war, war correspondence from the 2nd and 3rd Armored Divisions, and reunion information on the 3rd Armored Division.
