Postwar Planning and Policy Committees and Subcommittees

This series consists of correspondence, reports, and newspaper clippings concerning the Postwar Committee on Planning and Policy, including the Subcommittee on Research, the Subcommittee on Student Life, and the State Postwar Agricultural Planning Steering Committee.

Short Stories

This series consists of photocopies and printouts (and a few captured in their original pulp magazines) of many of L'Amour's short stories and pieces. All items are photocopies unless otherwise mentioned.

Personal Financial and Legal Information

This series contains mostly personal correspondence, including a few notes, pertaining to Evans' personal financial and legal affairs, particularly referring to family wills and estates. Financial documents include bank statements, tax forms, canceled checks, ledgers, receipts, and materials about credit card accounts. Files are arranged with general correspondence, financial and legal materials presented first, followed by two groups of subject files, the first arranged alphabetically by names of persons, the second alphabetically by names of business or other corporate bodies.

Writings and Memorabilia

This series contains a journal kept by Evans from March 22 - June 1939, recording a trip to Brazil to study that country's cotton industry, daily diaries, clipped and handwritten or typed quotations and poems, published books, booklets, and brochures collected by Evans, as well as business cards, draft cards, a library card, advertising postcards, and certificates recording honors bestowed on Evans, along with a few personal artifacts such as an engraved penknife, and a card enclosing a handkerchief.

Personal Correspondence

This series contains correspondence concerning Owens' books, with published reviews of Owens' books; the Annie Laurie Williams letters; the Bedichek letters; Ralph Yarborough and the Big Thicket; photographs of Owens and family; and transcripts from Owens' college years. Also contains personal correspondence from 1940-1946, including those from Owens' years on active duty in World War II, as well as correspondence concerning the film rights to Slave Mutiny; plagiarism of Slave Mutiny; clippings and articles on Grant Wood; newsletters.

Rural Church Conferences

This series contains correspondence and other materials related to Rural Church conferences and programs that Trotter participated in. Included is correspondence relating to the publications Soils & Souls, and Preservation, Patriotism & Piety - Three Motives for Saving the Soil.

Noteworthy conferences were held at Southwestern University in 1944 and one in College Station in 1946.
