This collection includes correspondence to and from Clareson on his research, his science fiction journal editorship and related matters; manuscripts of some of Clareson's work, including a study of Robert Heinlein, as well as Understanding Contemporary American Science Fiction: The Formative Period (1990) and an unpublished biography of Charles Reade; research files for Clareson's study of John Wyndham; audio cassettes of interviews, panels and other appearances by Clareson; slides used by Clareson in his classroom work; and some miscellaneous materials. Also included are several awards that Clareson won for his professional work.

Several additional boxes contain research materials used by Clareson in the writing of his work The Heritage of Heinlein: A Critical Reading of the Fiction. Clareson died before he could complete the work, and it was ultimately finished and published by Joe Sanders in 2014. The materials include the manuscript for the book, as well as some original correspondence from Robert A. Heinlein, and copies of some of Heinlein's novels with notes by Clareson.

The correspondence contains letters from Lois McMaster Bujold, Harry Harrison, and James Tiptree, Jr.

An additional series contains reference material relating to the author Andre Norton, with whom Wilbur was acquainted. Works by Norton that Wilbur owned have been integrated into the Science Fiction and Fantasy Research Collection.

The Roy Craig Collection on the Scientific Study of Unidentified Flying Objects consists of Dr. Craig's working files on all UFO reports studied by the Condon Report project team, including the field investigation notes, case writeups, physical evidence collected, Craig's appointment books for 1966-1968, a copy of the three volume Condon Report, a copy of the Bantam Books mass market reprint edition, additional notes and reports related to the UFO study, photos, recordings, and popular articles and books about UFO studies, and the manuscripts and notes for Dr. Craig's book, UFOs: An Insider's View, copies of the score and audio recordings of "The UFO Song," and other related material. The collection occupies approximately 10 linear feet.

This collection consists of numerous manuscripts and related materials - including outlines, notes, and proofs - of works by noted science fiction author Robert Silverberg.

This collection contains over 100 letters and postcards, most written by science fiction fan writers and editors regarding amateur writing and publishing, largely related to Psychotic (later Science Fiction Review), a fanzine published by Richard E. Geis from July 1953 to October/November 1955.

The correspondence includes letters from influential science fiction fans and fanzine editors of the period: Terry Carr (6 letters, 1 postcard), Harlan Ellison (2 letters, 1 postcard), Marion Zimmer Bradley (1 letter), Robert Silverberg (2 letters, 1 postcard), Ron Smith (editor of Inside, one of the more important fanzines of the 1950s) and others, as well as a letter from pro editor Samuel Mines (accompanied by drafts and carbon copies of fan letters from Geis to Mines critiquing material published in Startling Stories), and a typed letter on FBI letterhead from J. Edgar Hoover.

This collection consists of items collected by fanfic writer Muriel Perun. Most of the items are issues of TV Guide with Star Trek related covers, but there is also a program book from Escapade 13 as well as photographs of Alexander Siddig (Dr. Julian Bashir on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), taken at an unidentified con.

This collection consists of materials from fan, fanzine writer, and vidder 'Morgan Logan', primarily relating to her main fandom of _Starsky & Hutch._Materials include fanzines, DVDs of fanvids, CDs containing _Starsky & Hutch_images, examples of fan art, and additional fannish materials.

Much of the content of this collection consists of fan fiction. Fan fiction is the name given to literary or artistic productions created by fans about the characters, settings and events of the media universe in which they are interested.  Almost all of the fanfic in the Logan Collection is identified as "slash”. "Slash" refers to fanworks that feature same-sex relationships and are sometimes (though not always) sexually explicit. In slash, sexual identity, sexuality and/or romance are often the centers of the story, rather than the conventional adventures featured in more traditional fanworks (referred to as "gen"). All items are to be considered "slash" unless otherwise noted.

Works include the 1989 World Fantasy Award-nominated horror novel The Drive-In (1988); the short story Night They Missed The Horror Show (1988), which won the Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in Short Fiction; On The Far Side of the Cadillac Desert With Dead Folks (1989), which won both the 1989 Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in Long Fiction and the 1989 British Fantasy Award for Best Short Fiction; and two short stories involving Batman, "Subway Jack" (1989) and "Belly Laugh, or The Joker's Trick or Treat" (1990).

This collection consists primarily of manuscripts, proofs and galleys for a number of works by SF author Gould, including both novels and short stories. It also includes several typescripts for works not written by Gould, including several volumes of the George R.R. Martin-edited _Wild Cards_shared universe novels.

This collection consists of decades worth of science fiction and fantasy fanzines, collected by Canadian fanzine writer and editor Mike Hall, and by book collector and author Chester Cuthbert. Chronologically, the fanzines date from some of the earliest years of organized SciFi fandom through the 21st century.

This collection consists of numerous awards that noted science fiction and fantasy author Andre Norton was given over the course of her long and storied career.

This collection reflects the years of fannish interest and collecting done by Frank, a fan from Philadelphia, PA. Most of the collection documents Frank's interest with a particular subset of Star Trek fandom - Klingon culture. Items from this fandom include fanfiction, club newsletters, reference works, calendars, and several pieces of realia such as Klingon-themed jewelry.

The collection also contains several examples of fanzines from general Star Trek fandom and from several other fandoms. There is also one box of professionally published books - on Klingons and Star Trek, as well as several academic monographs on fan studies.

Aside from these, there is one additional major component to the Frank Collection. Frank collected a large number of songbooks containing so-called "filksongs". Filksinging is a venerable fannish activity - it can be generally described as science fiction-related folk music, and is frequently performed at conventions and other fannish get-togethers. The Frank Collection contains both filk songbooks and CD recordings of Frank's original filksong cassette tapes.

This collection consists of the typed manuscript with handwritten edits of Cook's 1973 short story "The Night of Dreadful Silence". Also included is one blurb with the cover format.

This collection consists of an advance copy (bound unpaged galley proofs) of the first edition, first state; and an advance copy (bound unpaged galley proofs) of the first edition, second state, of Sturgeon's 1953 novel More Than Human.

The proofs represent the first state of the text without Sturgeon's extensive last-minute changes made at the publisher's office. A handwritten signed note by Sturgeon dated August 1954 on the inside front cover reads: "A few hours before 'More Than Human' went to press, the author felt a profound dissatisfaction with the last section. Working in the corner of a busy office at his publisher's, he rewrote the final portion. This is, as far as he knows, the only copy extant of the book before these changes were made. It is donated, with the author's warmest good wishes, to the World Science Fiction Convention of 1954, at San Francisco."

The revisions to the galleys were made on leaves 16, 120, 136, 139, and 144-145 and consisted mostly of insertions of new copy, ranging from about 150 words in one case to about 1500 in another (at the story's conclusion).

The proofs are accompanied by a signed letter, dated August 25, 1954, from Sturgeon (signed "Ted") to "Les" (probably Lester Cole, co-chairman of the convention) on Sturgeon's stationery, with an autograph postscript. This is the cover letter sent with the proof, in which Sturgeon explains why he will not be able to attend the 1954 convention due to a death in the family. He expresses sincere regret and names those to whom he would like to have his greetings conveyed, including "the six (at least) X's. These last are the handful, among all the wonderful people there, whom [sic] I haven't met yet but would discover and have for lifelong friends if only I could be there."

This collection consists of a photocopy of the 83-page typescript for Varley's 1981 story "Blue Champagne".

This collection consists of the release dialogue script of the 1965 Paramount film Crack in the World starring Dana Andrews as Dr. Steven Sorenson, who plans to tap the geothermal energy of the Earth's interior by means of a thermonuclear device detonated deep within the Earth. Despite dire warnings by fellow scientist Ted Rampion (Kieron Moore), Sorenson proceeds with the experiment after secretly learning that he is terminally ill. This experiment causes a crack to form and grow within the earth's crust, which threatens to split the earth in two if it is not stopped in time. The screenplay was written by White and Julian Halevy.

The Lisa Tuttle Collection consists of books, manuscripts, galley proofs, and magazines tracing the storied career of science fiction, horror and fantasy writer Tuttle.  The collection is a work-in-progress, with additions from the author as they become available.

This collection consists of reel-to-reel audio recordings, audio recordings on tape cassette, and digitized recordings of these materials, of interviews conducted on the Science Fiction Radio Show, which ran from 1980-1983. The show was created by David Carson, Keith Johnson, and David Crews and originally broadcast from Odessa College (in Odessa, TX) starting in June 1980. Carson and Johnson had proposed a science fiction course for the college, and when it was denied, they turned instead towards developing a radio show as a way of bringing their interest in science fiction to a wider audience.

Starting in the spring of 1982 (after a hiatus beginning in Fall 1981) and proceeding through the last broadcast on December 31, 1983, the show was syndicated for national broadcasting by the Longhorn Radio Network in Austin. This helped give the show a nationwide following.

The Science Fiction Radio Show conducted interviews with a wide variety of significant personalities over its run, including Stephen R. Donaldson, Gordon R. Dickson (and his about-to-be-published novel The Final Encyclopedia), Philip Jose Farmer (just as he was concluding his Riverworld series), Hal Clement, Theodore Sturgeon, Howard Waldrop, C.J. Cherryh, Poul Anderson, Terry Carr, L. Sprague de Camp, Michael Whelan, Roger Ebert, Jim Henson (interviewed during the production of his film The Dark Crystal), and many others. Some shows were also dedicated to specific subjects, including computers, L. Frank Baum, and science fiction music.

Over the course of its life, the show conducted 81 interviews, most of them lasting 1-2 hours. The Longhorn Radio Network estimated that between 100,000 - 200,000 people listened to the show every week.

The collection includes a few recordings made from other sources than the Science Fiction Radio Show.

This is a small collection of correspondence, art, and a manuscript fragment by "Stewart", from Siros. The correspondence consists mostly of convention-related business and other topics and contains letters to Siros from, among others, Philip Jose Farmer, Jack Williamson, and John Clute.
