Andre Norton Diaries

This collection consists of the diaries and journals kept by Andre Norton between 1930 and 2004, a few months before her death. The diaries record Norton's life experiences, thoughts, and notes on her writing and writing process.

This collection consists of manuscript materials for the novels from SF and fantasy author Clarke, including outlines, drafts, notes, and submission packages. Also included is the final version of Clarke's master thesis, an unpublished novel of magical realism entitled Light Pollution.

A collection of materials made to commemorate the opening of the 2013-2014 Cushing Library exhibit on the work of George R. R. Martin, entitled "Deeper Than Swords". The exhibit opened in March 2013.

The collection includes four portraits of characters from A Song of Ice & Fire, in acrylic on canvas, painted by Evangeline Owen for the exhibit.

This collections of materials documenting the life and literary career of Gwen Faith Hunter, who writes thrillers under the name of 'Gwen Hunter' and, under the name 'Faith Hunter', the Jane Yellowrock, Soulwood, and _Rogue Mage_urban fantasy series. Materials in the collection consists of manuscripts, notes, page proofs, correspondence, publicity materials, awards, and documentation relating to Hunter's childhood and early attempts at writing.

This collection consists of the personal papers, manuscripts, memorabilia, and other associational material of science fiction and fantasy author George R.R. Martin.

Martin has also deposited as part of his collection a growing assortment of books, including his own work in various editions and translations, as well as works that he has edited or to which he has contributed. A bibliography of these books is available from the Reading Room upon request and items from that list are available for consultation.

George R.R. Martin Fan Mail Collection

This collections consists of fan mail received by noted author George R.R. Martin, including letters, cards, requests for signed bookplates, invitations, and solicitations. Most of the fan mail concerns Martin's fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire and its television adaptation Game of Thrones. A large subseries concerns fan response to the television show Beauty and the Beast (1987-1990), for which Martin was a writer and producer.

Materials include page proofs, story notes, correspondence, and publicity materials. Also included is a large, hand-drawn map of The Twelve Kingdoms from Kennedy's fantasy series of the same name.

This collection contains materials from and about fantasy writer Britain, who is most well-known for her epic Green Rider fantasy novel cycle. Materials in the collection include manuscripts for several of the novels in the series; examples of Britain's other writings (including several information brochures she wrote for the National Park Service); correspondence to and from Britain, including items from authors Nevada Barr and Anne McCaffrey; a reference file containing copies of magazines with articles or other references relating to Britain; and assorted other materials.

Kristine Kathryn Rusch The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction Collection

This collection consists of manuscripts of short fiction, book reviews, and nonfiction pieces submitted to The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction during the editorship of Kristine Kathryn Rusch from 1991-1997. (Several stories in the collection would be actually published in F&SF by Rusch's successor Gordon Van Gelder, who edited the magazine between 1997-2015.) With a few exceptions, all of the manuscripts were eventually published in the magazine.

Many of the manuscripts in the collection contain handwritten edits, most of which are grammatical or structural and made by copyeditors. A minority of edits, some of them more substantive textual alterations, appear to have been made by the authors themselves.

Marijane Wernsman Collection of Marion Zimmer Bradley Research Materials

This collection contains research materials relating to the author Marion Zimmer Bradley (1930-1999), collected by Dr. Marijane Werdsman of Texas Tech University. The materials were collected as part of a prospective biography of Bradley that Werdsman had intended to write, but the project fell apart when accusations arose in 2014 that Bradley had sexually abused her daughter Moira when Moira was a child.

Most of the materials were obtained from various Internet websites, and include materials relating to Bradley, to her fantasy world Darkover, and to the various online fan communities devoted to Bradley and her work.

This digital collection consists of literary manuscripts and related materials from urban fantasy, science fiction, and paranormal romance author Rachel Caine (Roxanne Longstreet Conrad). The materials in this collection include manuscripts, in varying iterations and states of production, for books in Caine's later series The Great Library, The Honors, and Stillhouse Lake. Also present in many of these book files are items of correspondence, synopses, graphics, and research materials.

Materials are also included for Caine's unfinished Kickstarter-funded Weather Warden novel Red Hot Rain, and for several of her short stories.

Also included are recorded podcast interviews of Steve Rasnic Tem and readings of works by the Tems.

Also included are several literary awards won by the Tems individually and jointly.
