Turner, who participated in a number of musical and theatrical endeavors across Aggieland, relating to the Aggieland Orchestra, Singing Cadets, and the Summer Entertainment Series at Texas A&M from 1945-1964 when Turner was the director of the Singing Cadets.

Exhibit Collection, "Easterwood Airport"

This collection includes many articles, advertisements, and maps of the Easterwood Airport ranging from 1938-1986.

The items in the collection were assembled and used as part of a Texas A&M University exhibit on the history of Easterwood Airport, also known as Easterwood Field, which is the regional airport for Texas A&M University, Bryan-College Station, and Brazos County, Texas. The airport is owned by Texas A&M, who authorized the development of an airport at the existing site in 1938.

This collection is a part of the more than 299 articles which Arthur Dieterich wrote for the Dairymen's Digest, the American Jersey Cattle Club, the Texas Jersey Cattle Club, Progressive Farmer, Farm and Ranch, and numerous other agricultural papers. The articles included in this collection cover the change from primitive cow milking to modern computerized dairy farming.

The Wipprecht Family Papers is a collection of photographs, correspondence, and other items pertaining to the family of Walter Wipprecht (Sr.). The photographic collection spans the Wipprecht personal family ranch life in Bryan Texas to Texas A&M College and Bryan, TX early buildings. The collection includes several local newspapers, commemorative Bryan, TX memorabilia along with photographs of historic Texas A&M College during the early 1900s.

The collection includes light-sensitive glass plate negatives.

1913 Hazing Investigation Collection

This collection contains items related to a hazing problem among undergraduate students at Texas A&M College in 1913. Records include accusation accounts from former students, parents, faculty, and staff. The Texas A&M College Hazing February 1913 Special Committee found twenty-two A&M undergraduate students guilty of hazing be dismissed from Texas A&M.

Mamie Haden Waller Papers

This collection includes letters saved by Mamie Haden Waller. They span 40 years of her life; not only do they encompass her life, but those of her mother Priscie (P. Haden) and father, James E. Haden as well. The collection also includes letters from Waller's siblings, in-laws, husband, and many other relatives and friends.

The Haden family lived on a farm near Dresden, TX. Of Mamie's six siblings, her second oldest brother, Joel H., attended A&M College from 1876-1878. Several of her brothers were military officers and her sister Priscie married Gideon Taylor in 1875. Mamie Haden Waller had five grandchildren.

This collection contains documents pertaining to library guides, history, correspondence, and general information about Sterling C. Evans library from 1968-1976.

Sterling C. Evans Library was built in 1968. Evans library became a member of the Center for Research Libraries as a first member in the region. In 1979, Evans expanded with two additional floors built and an expansion of the facade and floors.

George Washington Lewis Civil War Letters

This collection contains correspondence written by George Washington Lewis to his first cousin and wife, Caroline Merritt during his time in the Civil War. The collection includes original letters along with typed transcriptions of the letters. The collection also contains a later donation of a family tree of the Lewis family and genealogical notes.

Affleck Family Texas History Collection

This collection contains the genealogical history of the Affleck family, compiled by Thomas Dunbar Affleck (son of I.D. and Mary Hunt Affleck). Four members of the Affleck family are highlighted in detail.

Beginning with Thomas Affleck, covering 1824 to approximately 1872 and consists of typed copies of his personal and business correspondence, horticultural information, photographs, recipes, information on his plantation Glenblythe, articles, and various published materials such as Southern Rural Almanac.

Next is his son, Isaac Dunbar (I.D.) Affleck, a Civil War veteran who served. with Terry's Texas Rangers. This set contains the original letters sent to his parents while serving in the War, photos, and bits and pieces of information collected regarding Texas History [these are in poor -condition].

Mary Hunt Affleck's (married to Isaac) collection consists of many poems, keepsakes, and memorabilia regarding her tenure as Poet Laureate of Texas and member of the Daughters of the Confederacy.

Included is a short, but important collection of Anna Marie Affleck, daughter to I.D. and Mary Hunt Affleck. At the age of 12 [circa 1898] Anna Marie made a pressed-flower book that catalogs 203 different flowers from Washington County.

The last section of this collection is comprised of short histories of various other family members (notably, Jane Long); there is also historical information of United States history regarding pre-Civil War, the Civil War, and post-Civil War; and two handwritten manuscripts by Thomas D. Affleck regarding Jack Hays and the Hays' Texas Rangers.

Percy Ives' Walt Whitman Sketch

Original pencil sketch made in 1881 when Percy Ives, then an art student at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, visited Whitman at his home in Camden, New Jersey.
In 1915 Ives presented the drawing to Powys when the novelist traveled to Detroit, Ives' home town, to begin a series of lectures. Powys subsequently gave the drawing to his sister Philippa, probably after she had visitied Whitman's home in Camden in 1923-1924.

The drawing is signed by both Ives and Whitman. Reframed in 2012 displaying all inscriptions.
