Frederik Pohl Correspondence

This collection consists of correspondence to and from legendary author Frederick Pohl, mostly regarding editorial matters and other items of authorial business.

Most of the letters, dated from 1948-1952, are to or from Shasta Publishing founder Erle Melvin Korshak or editor Ted Dikty. There is also some correspondence between Pohl and Playboy Magazine dated between 1962-1978.

  • Regarding article and story submissions, including rewrite requests, rejections, and comments about personalities in the field.
  • Includes the manuscripts of "The Borrowed Brains," a draft of "The Great 1964 Saucer Flap," and the text of Pohl's 1966 keynote address to the American Management Association's Annual Personnel Conference, titled "The World of 1975-1985".
