This collection contains materials from science fiction D.L. (David) Young, relating to the creation and publication of his novel _Soledad,_a post-apocalyptic tale that is the first volume in Young's _Dark Republic_series.

Materials include notes, proofs, media material, final electronic versions of the novel, and production documentation. The materials in this collection are entirely digital, existing in several different software formats.

Materials are arranged according to the folder and item structure that Young created for use on his own computer.

Materials in this collection are entirely digital. All files are accessible via Microsoft Office, with the following exceptions:

Scrivener files (.scv), the writing software used to compose the rough drafts of the novel.

Mobi files (.mobi), the format used by Amazon and Amazon apps for ebooks. Mobi files were compiled out of Scrivener and used to upload to Amazon.

Epub files (.epub), the format used by all non-Amazon ebook platforms.

Copyright is retained by the authors of items in these papers, or their descendants, as stipulated by United States law.
